Warps are named places you can teleport to with one command. They work across the whole MCME network: if a warp is on another server, /warp moves you there automatically. Besides the public warps that staff set up at landmarks, you can keep a few private warps of your own.
Going somewhere
/warp <name>
For example /warp Rivendell. /to <name> does the same. Tab completion suggests warp names.
You don't have to type a name exactly: capitals, accents, apostrophes and extra spaces don't matter. /warp helms deep finds Helm's Deep, and /warp amon din finds Amon Dîn.
If you have a private warp with the same name as a public one, /warp takes you to your own.
Other ways to travel:
| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
/warp random |
Takes you to a random public warp on the main world or in Moria |
/localwarp <name> (or /lwarp) |
Goes to the warp's coordinates, but in the world you are in now, without changing server or world. Useful when several copies of the same world exist |
To use a warp, you need access to the world it is in. If a warp says you have no access, that world is not open to your rank.
Finding warps
/wmanage list
lists the public warps you can use, 10 per page, in alphabetical order. Add filters to narrow it down, and a page number at the end:
| Filter | Meaning | Example |
|---|---|---|
-n <text> |
Name contains | /wmanage list -n rivend |
-s <server> |
On that server | /wmanage list -s moria |
-w <world> |
In that world (don't combine with -s) |
/wmanage list -w moria 2 |
-c <player> |
Created by that player | /wmanage list -c Gandalf |
-o <order> |
Sort by alphabetical, createdAt or visits |
/wmanage list -o visits |
-v <type> |
public (the default), private or all |
/wmanage list -v all |
/warpmanager is the long form of /wmanage. Subcommand names are case-sensitive: type them exactly as shown.
Public warps also show on the live map, where you can find them in the warps layers.
Your own private warps
Private warps belong to you. Other players don't see them, and they never appear on the map. Two players can each have a private warp called home without getting in each other's way.
| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
/wmanage pcreate <name> |
Makes a private warp where you are standing |
/wmanage move <warp> |
Moves one of your warps to where you are standing |
/wmanage rename <warp> <new name> |
Renames it |
/wmanage delete <warp> |
Deletes it |
/wmanage plist |
Lists the private warps you made or are a member of |
/wmanage assets |
Lists your own private warps on the server you are on |
You can only have a limited number of private warps. The limit depends on your rank.
Sharing a private warp
You can let friends use one of your private warps. They can teleport to it, but they can't change it. The player must be online when you add them.
/wmanage members add <warp> <player>
/wmanage members remove <warp> <player>
In
renameandmembers, a warp name with spaces must go in double quotes:/wmanage rename "old house" new house,/wmanage members add "old house" Samwise.
Warp names
- Up to 64 characters.
- These characters are not allowed:
/ \ < > : " | * ? ! - The name keeps the spelling you typed; only searching ignores capitals and accents.
For staff
Public warps are managed by staff. The commands below need their own
mcmewarps.cmd.*permission; changing a warp you didn't make needsmcmewarps.override.modify.
A player who creates a public warp can't change it afterwards; from then on only staff with override.modify can.
| Command | Permission | What it does |
|---|---|---|
/wmanage create <name> |
mcmewarps.cmd.create-public |
Makes a public warp where you stand |
/wmanage setPublic <warp> |
mcmewarps.cmd.set-public |
Turns a private warp into a public one |
/wmanage setPrivate <warp> |
mcmewarps.cmd.set-private |
Turns a public warp into a private one |
/wmanage setWelcome <warp> <message> |
mcmewarps.cmd.welcome-message |
Sets a message shown on arrival. It can use MiniMessage colours, for example <gold>Welcome to Rivendell. Use default as the message to remove it |
/wmanage setIcon <warp> <icon> |
mcmewarps.cmd.set-icon |
Sets the map icon: DEFAULT (green flag), WIP (construction), ON_HOLD (yellow flag), NOT_STARTED (red flag) or PIRATE |
/wmanage setLayer <warp> <layer> |
mcmewarps.cmd.set-layer |
Puts the warp in a map layer, such as major for major warps |
/wmanage list -v all |
mcmewarps.cmd.list plus mcmewarps.override.use |
Lists every warp, including other players' private warps (-v private for private only). Without override.use, the list only shows warps you can use yourself |
/wmanage reload |
mcmewarps.cmd.reload |
Reloads the settings and all warps |
Other staff permissions:
| Permission | What it allows |
|---|---|
mcmewarps.override.use |
Use any warp, whatever world, owner or membership |
mcmewarps.override.modify |
Change, move or delete any warp, including public ones |
mcmewarps.limits.ignore.private |
No limit on private warps |
mcmewarps.world-access.<world> |
Use warps in that world (lowercase world name) |
In setWelcome, setIcon and setLayer, put a warp name with spaces in double quotes.
Warp visits are counted, so /wmanage list -o visits shows the most-used warps first.
